BBC Countryfile Live at Blenheim Palace

BBC Countryfile Live at Blenheim Palace

Returning to the spectacular grounds of Oxforshire's Blenheim Palace, Countryfile Live is one of the biggest and most exciting events this summer

Loved by a regular viewing audience of over 6 million, BBC Countryfile is the UK’s most popular factual weekly programme.

Countryfile Live takes its inspiration from the TV show’s content to explore every aspect of rural life. Personalities, farmers and their animals and machines, writers, entertainers, food producers, conservation organisations and entertainers all converge on the Blenheim Palace grounds to produce a glorious day of countryside fun. There’ll be a host of new attractions in 2019 including a mix of entertainment, outdoor activities, inspiration and refreshment, plus lots and lots of incredible shopping.

A stunning setting with its serene and sparkling river and Capability-Brown landscaped parkland, the Blenheim Palace grounds are a beautiful setting for the show. Set in 100 acres, you’ll be able to paddle on the river, take a four-wheel drive through the grounds, or sink into a deck chair to enjoy the scene.

MEET THE STARS Theatre stages, large and small, are dotted across the showground. Each will have a fascinating line up of speakers, drawn from a cast of TV personalities, authors, wildlife and environmental specialists, countryside enthusiasts, and foraging and food experts.

INCREDIBLE SHOPPING In busy marquees and lining grassy avenues, hundreds of stalls will feature products from artisan producers to leading lifestyle brands. Jewellery, textiles, clothes, furniture, art, gifts, garden goods and structures, outdoor gadgets, pet supplies... it’ll all be there to tempt you.

AMAZING BIRDS & BEASTS Take your seat at a ringside show for displays of animal talent, including speedy birds of prey, sturdy Shire horses and clever sheep dogs. You’ll be able to get up close to rare breads and some beautiful British wildlife too.

OUTDOOR ACTION Watch vintage farm machinery displays, go off-roading in a 4x4, work out how to paddle a coracle in a straight line, climb a wall (or a tree). There’ll be plenty of exhilarating activities for all ages, plus ideas from the experts on planning your next outdoors adventure.

TASTY FOOD & DRINK From cheese and cider to cured meats and chocolate, hundreds of producers will be inviting you to taste their delicious ranges. And there’ll be a dizzying choice of menus for lunch, ranging from international street food to traditional British fare. All this and much more…
