Day 1

We depart for Berkshire, making comfort stops en-route including a suitable lunch stop. Arriving at Littlecote House early this afternoon.

Day 2

Today we visit Lacock Abbey & Fox Talbot Museum, a country house with monastic roots, once home to William Henry Fox Talbot.

The Abbey, located at the heart of the village within its own woodland grounds, is a quirky country house of various architectural styles, built upon the foundations of a former nunnery. Visitors can experience the atmosphere of the medieval rooms and cloister court, giving a sense of the Abbey's monastic past. The museum celebrates the achievements of former Lacock resident, William Henry Fox Talbot, famous for his contributions to the invention of photography.

Day 3

Enjoy a visit to Oxford ~ The City of Dreaming Spires famous world over for its University and place in history.

Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the cobbled streets and take in the sights of this beautiful city. The Ashmolean Museum is definitley worth a visit and is the University of Oxford's museum of art and archaeology, founded in 1683.If the weather is kind, wander down to the water and see people punting, or hire one for yourself!

Oxford is the birthplace of Alice in Wonderland and many inspirations for the stories came from Oxford. Alice’s Shop is the most tangible link to an episode in the book that is still in existence today, and when you step into Alice’s Shop you are stepping into the Victorian world of Alice.

Day 4

A day at leisure to enjoy the facilities of the hotel.

Day 5

We depart the hotel after breakfast, making our way home with a visit to the Milestones Museum, Hampshire’s museum of living history. Explore the museum’s streets, shops and buildings to discover how people used to live, buy a ration of sweets from our 1940s sweet shop, view the unique collection of vintage vehicles and have a go in the penny arcade! We continure our journey home, arriving back in East Sussex late afternoon.

Warner Terms and Conditions regarding Electric Scooters and Wheelchairs:

Warner welcome guests who are Blue Badge holders to bring their mobility scooter to our hotels and villages to use during their stay. To keep all of our guests safe, the guest must be booked into a ground floor room and the vehicle must be stored inside their room. Please note that if the vehicle is over 70cm wide it will be necessary to book a “Wheelchair Accessible Room”. Only 4mph pavement vehicles are permitted within our buildings and the owner must hold Public Liability Scooter Insurance. They will also need to bring their Blue Badge with them, as unfortunately due to limitation on space, we cannot allow anyone without a Blue Badge to bring a scooter inside the hotel. The individual is responsible for ensuring they are capable of safely operating their mobility scooter and for the security of their mobility scooter during their holiday.Warner accept no liability for any accident, loss of damage to the guest or their mobility scooter, except to the extent that such loss or damage arises from our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or sub-contractors.

L.J. Edwards can take a maximum of 2 electric scooters/wheelchairs per short break, these must be for clients with a Blue Badge and Public Liability Scooter Insurance (subject to hotel agreement). L.J. Edwards accept no liability for any accident, loss of damage to the guest or their mobility scooter on a Short Break, or when the scooter/wheelchair is stored in the coach luggage compartment. The individual is responsible for ensuring they are capable of safely operating their mobility scooter and for the security of their mobility scooter during their holiday.
